Our latest platform in rack power distribution combines per-outlet intelligence with layered protection.
An AV rack is only as dependable as the power feeding it. The Smart PDU 810 gives you independent measurement, independent switching and independent protection on every one of its eight outlets — so you can see exactly what each device draws, restore a locked-up unit without leaving your desk, and contain a fault to the single outlet that caused it.

Four capabilities define it.
Measure everything. Voltage, current, power, power factor and energy consumed, measured independently on every one of the eight outlets.
Control everything. Switch any outlet on, off or through a timed power cycle from anywhere on the network. No more visits to the rack mid-meeting.
Limit per outlet. Set an individual current limit per outlet. A misbehaving device is isolated before it becomes everyone's problem.
Switch gently. Zero-cross switching times every operation to the mains waveform, dramatically extending relay life and eliminating switch-on surge stress.
Six threats, handled. High voltage, low voltage, spikes, surges, electrical fast transients and ESD are all filtered and clamped before they reach your equipment.
Individually fused. Every outlet carries its own fuse and its own electronic over-current trip. A shorted 4 A AV device blows one fuse — it does not trip your UPS or darken the room.
Breaker, not fuse. A hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker protects against fault currents and fire. Unlike a thermal breaker its trip point does not drift with ambient temperature.
Filtered input. Two-stage EMI filtering and two-stage surge suppression on the input, sized to protect the rack rather than merely to pass a test.

Zero-cross switching, per-outlet current limits, and a hardware watchdog that opens every outlet if the controller ever stops responding.
Full dashboard. A clean, browser-based dashboard served directly from the unit. No software to install, no cloud account required, no licence to renew.
Wired and wireless. 10/100 Ethernet for permanent installation, plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for commissioning and for rooms where pulling a cable is impractical.
Local display. A 16 x 2 backlit LCD shows live status, per-outlet readings and active faults at the rack. Green PWR and red ERROR indicators are readable across a room.
Network-optional. If the network drops, the PDU keeps working. All protection, limits, sequencing and metering continue independently of any server, cloud or controller.
Ordered recovery. Configurable power-on state and staged sequencing per outlet, so a site recovers in the right order after an outage — sources first, amplifiers last.
Fail-safe. A hardware watchdog opens every outlet if the controller ever stops responding. Safety does not depend on software behaving.
Every hour an engineer spends driving to a rack to press a button is an hour not spent on billable work. The Smart PDU 810 is built to make that journey unnecessary.
Scheduling. Turn outlets on and off by time of day. Displays and amplifiers switch off overnight and at weekends, cutting standby consumption you are currently paying for.
Scenes and groups. Define outlet groups and control them with one command. 'Room Off' drops the display, codec and DSP while the NVR and network switch stay up.
Staged sequencing. Configurable inter-outlet delay, so a rack powers up in the order the equipment expects — no thump, no stacked inrush, no tripped breaker.
Ping-watchdog reboot. The PDU pings a device on its own outlet and power-cycles it automatically if it stops responding. Unattended and remote sites recover themselves.
Alerts that reach you. Email, webhook and SNMP trap notification on any fault — over-current, over-temperature, blown fuse or lost outlet. You hear about it before the client does.
Energy export. Download per-outlet consumption as CSV for facilities reporting, ESG returns or chargeback, without anyone reading a meter.
A network-connected power device now passes through IT security review before it is allowed onto a corporate LAN. The Smart PDU 810 is built to clear that review rather than to argue with it.
The dashboard and API are served over HTTPS with TLS. Nothing travels the network in the clear.
Named user accounts with role-based permissions. Operators can switch outlets without being able to change protection settings.
There is no default password. The unit forces one to be set before it will operate — the single most common finding in a device security audit, removed by design.
Every state change is logged with the user, the action and the timestamp. You can answer who switched off the boardroom, and when.
Firmware images are cryptographically signed. The unit refuses anything that is not genuinely ours — important on a device that controls mains power.
Updates are delivered over the network with automatic rollback, so security patching never requires a site visit or risks bricking a live rack.
Everything you touch and everything you plug in, laid out across a single 1U panel.

Two products are usually considered alongside the Smart PDU 810: an imported networked switched PDU from a global IT brand, and an imported AV power sequencer. The Smart PDU 810 was designed to do the work of both at a price closer to an unbranded basic import.
